REOPENING TO MASSES WITH CONGREGATIONS

Dear St. Boniface Parishioners,

The Archdiocese of Miami has given us guidelines for resuming Masses with congregations effective Tuesday, May 26. Here is our transitional plan for coming back.

Our staff and volunteers will be following all necessary protocols, please follow their directions, we appreciate your cooperation.

We sanitized the Church to resume operations and we will continue sanitizing the chairs, doors, and bathrooms after each Mass.

There are several protocols you should be aware of before you choose to sign up to attend Mass:

Discern the Risk; St. Boniface cannot guarantee a perfectly sterile environment. you should take under consideration your age and health. If you are sick, frail because of age or are vulnerable because of an underlying condition, or you are a caretaker of someone who is, please stay home and participate in our virtual Masses. The exemption from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass, remains in effect until further notice.

  • We will continue to live stream Masses on our website, YouTube channel and Facebook page.

BEFORE YOU COME TO MASS:

  • Wash your hands for 20 seconds before leaving home.
  • Church restrooms will only be used in an emergency.
  • Adults and children must wear a mask to enter the Church building and during Mass.
  • Parents may not bring baby strollers into the church on order to maintain social distance.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

  • Please put on your mask when you leave your vehicle.
  • ENTER THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR OF THE CHURCH. The door will open 10 minutes before Mass begins and will close 10 minutes after Mass begins.
  • Show the ushers your confirmation/reservation for that Mass.
  • Use the gel sanitizer provided to clean your hands.
  • Once inside the church and before reaching your seat, maintain 6 feet of social distance between each family.
  • Keep children with your family group. Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
  • Follow marked indicators and ushers’ directions for seating in the Church.

Liturgical Modifications

  • No Holy Water will be present in the Font.
  • No distribution of the Precious Blood.
  • It is highly recommended to receive Communion in your hand.
  • Stand up, take off your mask, receive the Body of Christ, consume it, put on your mask again and take a seat. Maintain 6 feet of social distance.
  • Refrain from Sign of Peace and during the Our Father hand holding.

EXIT PROCEDURE

After the final blessing, all parishioners are to remain in their seats. The priest will leave first. Then the parishioners will exit in order of back to front. The ushers will instruct us to leave through the main doors of the Church.

  • You must leave immediately when instructed. It is not permitted to remain within the Church after Mass. We need this time to sanitize the church.
  • The Priests will not be shaking hands at the exit of Mass. Please do not stay in the welcome area. When leaving, head directly to your car.

Thank you for your patience and participation in creating a safe environment. We will be making adjustments as we go along, and we appreciate your feedback. We look forward to being together again in this way.

God Bless you.
